It takes a special person to work in aged care. We hire the best people we can. And we work hard to keep them – so our residents have a consistent, experienced presence in their lives.
We want to make sure you have the time and expertise to focus on the vital day to day care of our residents. You’ll be trained. And you’ll be mentored.
At Regis we recognise the importance and value of investing in education and training. Our range of education programs provides various pathways for up-skilling and further career development.
Whether you’re looking to fast-track your career or just want to improve your skills in a specific area, courses are available on-site, in central locations, or through our Regis online learning portal.
When you join Regis, you start with a comprehensive orientation and induction to ensure you can care for our residents with confidence from day one.
Designed by Regis to support newly graduated clinical staff, this program provides a ‘Boost’ in skills and knowledge.
For clinicians looking for career growth, we have a specially designed program to develop the clinical and business skills of high performers.
We provide a number of training options for all staff depending on your current skills and career path (how far you wish to go!).
For people just starting in Aged Care, we offer Certificate Level 3 & 4 Traineeships. We provide mandatory training in essential skills, including areas such as dementia care, managing challenging behaviour, conflict resolution, dealing with grief and loss, and palliative care.
Regis has our own e-learning portal means many training programs can be accessed at a time and place of your choosing.
Regis actively supports staff in their education and training both financially and in recognised time off to attend approved courses.
To further support your growth and your ability, we offer a series of annual study days and provide access to workshops facilitated by internal and external subject matter experts.
Each year Regis offers a Studies Assistance Program for our staff across Australia.
Opportunities also exist to train and upgrade your professional qualifications through government-funded studies assistance.
